This Book is Cool! - Mercy Watson to the Rescue

The Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading encourages reading with the webcast series, This Book is Cool! This episode, (Grade 2, Week 4, Book 2) features the book, Mercy Watson to the Rescue written by Kate DiCamillo, illustrated by Chris Van Dusen. Second Grade children and the special adults in their lives will enjoy learning about this book with host Beth Duda, and special guest, Vice President of Program Services for Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County, Catrese Estes. “This Book is Cool! “, generously funded by The Patterson Foundation, is designed to encourage children, PreK- Gr. 3, to read. Each webisode features a selected book, a special guest, new vocabulary words for our Word Bank, and a suggested activity that goes with the book. Two new webisodes for each grade level will be uploaded each week throughout the summer. Remember, reading is the key to succeeding!
