Jefferson Starship's 1975 album 'Red Octopus' reached #1 on the Billboard 200. Released in August of the same year, the single 'Miracles' reached #3.

Lyrics:
If only you believe like I believe, baby,
We'd get by.
If only you believe in miracles, baby,
So would I.

I might have to move heaven and earth,
To prove it to you, baby.
So we're making love,
And you feel the power and I feel the power,
Then there's really nothing we can't do,
If we wanted to, baby.
We could exist on the stars, it'd be so easy,
All we gotta do, is get a little faith in you.

If only you believe like I believe, baby,
We'd get by.
If only you believe in miracles, baby,
So would I.

I can hear windmills and rainbows,
Whenever you're talking to me.
I feel like swirling and dancing,
Whenever you're walking with me.
You ripple like a river when I touch you,
When I pluck your body like a string.
I picked up your vibes, you know it opened my eyes,
But I'm still dreamin yeah.
And you're right where I found ya,
With my arms around ya.

If only you believe like I believe, baby,
We'd get by.
If only you believe in miracles, baby,
So would I, so would I, so would I.

If only you believe like I believe, baby,
We'd get by.
If only you believe in miracles, baby,
So would I,
If only you believe like I believe, baby,
We'd get by.

Who else is still enjoying this song in 2024? It has stood the test of time

One of the sexiest and most beautiful love songs ever! They just do not make music like this anymore. We are all so lucky that the bands of the 70’s gave us such wonderful music. This is the music of my life.🎼🎼🎼

Like many of you, I was around 7 years old, listening to this gem of a song, in the dark on a tiny little radio, loud enough to hear, but not loud enough to wake the parents, wish we could all go back and live that glorious time again.

Great song. Thanks for the tunes. RIP.... I am 68 years old and this is still a great song - Miracles. I listened to the song one time on a Sony 30 watt tube amplifier. Simply fantastic. There is somehing warm and crisp about tube amps. I was 14 years old. If only you believe like I believe, baby (If only you believe like I believe)
We'd get by
If only you believe in miracles, baby (If only you believe in miracles)
So would I
If only you believe like I believe, baby (If only you believe like I believe)
We'd get by
If only you believe in miracles, baby (If only you believe in miracles)
So would I

It’s 20/23 and we are along way down the road from the release of this one and it’s still one of the all time greats. Every time I revisit it I’m taken back in time……It’s all good

Brings back oh so many memories. Song was dedicated to me by a past and first boyfriend back in 1978. I still have the record and jacket that he wrote on! (SPECIAL Message)

I really messed that relationship up and STILL feel so bad! It had nothing to do with cheating or anything like it! Just circumstances and finding myself. 😟

Still (to this day) think about him! Wishing it was oh so different!

I wish him all the best in his lifetime did offer and still offering!

MISS you Greatly "J/F/T"!
You will always be my "Cowboy"!
And will always be in my heart!
✨️🤠✨️

“I can hear windmills and rainbows…”

Can’t remember the last time I heard a rainbow, but the words sure are poetic. Love it!

So mesmerizing and powerful the lyrics and vocal blending and harmonizing in this song.Seductive and sensual at the same time. There'll never be another song of this quality...EVER. I don't think it's possible for the new generation to make a cover of this and do it justice. I LOVE this song.

Nothing like the oldies and this one happens to be my favorite. The 70’s was pure love and peace. The lyrics are felt. You ripple like the river when I touch your body when I pluck your body like a string.👀

This is one of those songs that I time travel to. I was 11 years old and the first time I heard was in Clearwater Florida on a family vacation. We were in the family truckster driving back from my favorite restaurant chief Charlie’s and I was sublimely happy because I had just eaten a chop steak with mushroom gravy.

The period of music when I grew up was MAGICAL, nobodys creating it like they did back in the day, late 60's thru 70's..best and probably won't ever be matched..

I’ve been a Grace Slick fan since Woodstock. White Rabbit…. I had forgotten this song, and how much I loved it, until it was on the Supernatural series I’ve been bingeing. Thanks Jefferson Airplane/Starship…. Who’s gonna remember this incredible music when us old timers are gone?

Love this song. As a boy one of my favorite local college football heroes named Joe Roth was the Cal Golden Bear starting quarterback. He valiantly fought and lost a battle with cancer and this song gave him hope and courage. I never forgot that and it gaives special meaning to this beautiful song for me.
