Before you Cut your Timber on Whitetail Hunting Properties

Take a walk with me on a project I designed and built last summer for a Michigan Client. This parcel was cut heavy before the land owner reached out and became a client through an Analysis Package. You'll notice how hard this parcel was Cut, leaving bedding area improvements tough do to the lack of valuable usable tree to hinge cut.
The property performed great per the design this year but a Late December walk finds bedding areas needing more side cover with what is there to work with. If this client would have known to Design first, cut 2nd he would have saved himself alot of time and money getting his return on investment through hunting success. It will be a powerful parcel, with Success on a 3.5 yr old buck already this fall, but patience and food plot strengthening will be key to bringing this property to the Top!
