Dyson might struggle with the price point. They've entered the robot vacuum market late, and there are decent performing competitors already established at much lower prices. I can't see how they can be delivering a suitably improved performance to justify the extremely large premium.
They got away with it in the stick vacuum market because their competitors at the time were vastly inferior, but even in that market they now have similar performing competitors for equivalent (and slightly cheaper) prices.

Would love to see you compare it to the Roborock S8. That seems to be the one to beat

I know other people have commented similar things, but for the price you really should try out the roborock s8 pro ultra. I think you'll then understand why people are calling this a bad deal. Roborock make some pretty amazing stuff. Still very expensive but well worth it especially for the type of floor you've got.

Thanks so much! This is the only useful review that I could find online across both text and video. Nice work! I’ve just ordered one.

Fair feedback so far. I have an ecovacs and I hate it, but cannot live without a robot vacuum.

A robot vacuum I feel would be good to compare the Dyson to is the Roborock S7 MaxV. It’s the sameish price, but you get a vacuum mop combo, and an auto-empty dock that sucks the dirt from the robot, and remove the dirty water to replace it with clean water. On top of that it cleans the mop pads, and lastly, it charges the robot. But it also has things like recharge and resume, where it’ll go to where it left off before it went to charge, and it’s navigation is top notch. Give that one a shot

All robot vacuum will sort of bump into things. That’s normal.

People like to dislike and hate on Dyson but I have some of their products and I never ever had a problem with them. Expensive? Yes. But we’ll built and work perfectly well. Of course there are other alternatives (I have an iRobot, for instance), but Dyson does their stuff well.
I’ll be getting this one when my iRobot dies or is in need of an upgrade.

Do yourself a favour and send it back and get a ECOVACS x1 Omni, it can mop and vacuum and empty its bin and clean mop heads in its station

People hate dyson because it costs more than they can afford and their products are hit and miss(mostly hit though). Its a jealousy thing. Dyson make pretty good products in general, I'm yet to know anyone who owns one of their products that shits on them - just haters who can't afford and have never used them.

Personally, I think dyson has failed on this particular product - a robot vacuum should never be bumping into stuff. They figured that out years ago(or at least, some companies have as far as im aware). Thats a solid F right there. To have a customer pay 2400$ for something they need to firmware update and watch a bunch of youtube videos/research and call customer care to get it operating.. that is ridiculous. A 500-1000$ random chinese brand vacuum doesn't have any of these issues.

That's the problem... You dont have robot vacuum before.... Bealive me once you have roborock or dreame robot vacuum you will crap on this robot to... There is one guy that compare it with old I robot robot vacuum and he piss on this robot.

The only thing that dyson has the upper hand on these Chinese n others brands of robot vacuums is their powerful suction power, full size brush bar n genuine true HEPA filtration the rest they fail miserably at, such a shame 😕

If someone vacuumed at 4:00 in the morning you'd tell them to shut up..Why is it acceptable for a robot?

You need a roborock they’re perfect for your floors.

Just FYI: ALL of the robot vacuums "bump into" stuff - that's perfectly normal (at least, for now!) I consider 1 hour run-time to be a bit lower than average, and overall terrible! (My Roborock S4 runs for at least an hour and 45 minutes before needing to be recharged; I have a lot of carpeting.)
