Traxxas Xmaxx RPM junk front bearing carrier this is why I’m changing them problem found again

Thankyou Earl! Just ordered mine off ebay. I blasted a tree 3 years ago an had to bend bumper back in shape but nothing broke then months later i got in an changed frt bearings only to notice the bottom pin popd out. now 3 years later i barly clipd a pool then steering went wide. sure enough i pulled it apart an that bottom pin popd out so time for an upgrade. I went with the green! Thankyou this was the rt video for the rt time.

Thanks for sharing this information and showing us a real life example of the problem. If RPM is saying those parts only have a 2ft. jump warranty that should tell us all what they think of their own products.

Hey Earl Treal Hobby has the Xmaxx front knuckles with larger bearings, Talbert did a vid on them, thanks for the video I was looking at these and now I will pass on the Rpm. Product.

I have the rear hubs from RPM, but not the front. I'm doing the same as you now, as I just ordered the new aluminum hubs

Hi Earl, I agree with you on RPM & an awesome repair for your XMaxx. I had a problem with my 2wd Rustler stripping the transmission gears (I knew there was some flexing of the gear box happening), so I tried the "upgraded" RPM gear box and it actually had more flex in it then the stock Traxxas gear box and I ended up going through a couple of them not understanding what was the problem as it was supposed to be an "Upgrade" and then I understood how they used a more flexible plastic. I have the stock velineon motor so nothing to powerful either, it should have handled it. I finally bought an aluminum Integy gearbox with all Robinson Racing gears and have not had any problems since, runs great! Best wishes to you!

earl this is a great video. i dont have a xmaxx i have a maxx truck maxx truck is very easy to work on to. i hope RPM watches this video and realizes they need to look at the rpm front bearing carriers for the traxxas Xmaxx and fix their problem . earl you know about the XMAXX as much as anyone out there. i hope rpm watch this video. take care earl and stay safe.

FYI for anyone wanting to upgrade your front hub carriers, Traxxas makes a heavy duty front carriers now using the same size bearing as the RPMs. Part number 7737X.

Earl I have rpm, they come in greased. I read that instructions FYI. I have rpm and proline extra stock. The prolines broke on me in a few runs. Snapped in half. Hope your doing better my friend!

I'm new to Xmaxx so I saved this as a resource brother.
What a screw up by RPM and there response to you just pitiful.
Love there Arms on Arrma v4 and previous rigs, and they got the rear Xmaxx hubs right. They just can't admit they screwed up.
Too bad there are not really any other aftermarket company making good plastics anymore to compete with them😕

ps my blue bigrock has been bouncing around like a 70s Cadillac so i got some aluminum bigbore aftermarket shocks off ebay to replace stock with. I got them for Hoss, stampede 4wd vxl, an Slash ultimate. i let ya know how they do. 40 bucks all 4 it was worth a shot.

Sorry GUY I just didn't know the RPM front hubs were JUNK at the time. But NOW we know about the 2 foot jump warranty😱😱😱
