It depends how the delivered the nutrients in the chamber as for example you are likely to feel hungry when waking up from a coma even if you where given nutrients intravenously.

It must be some kind of similar chemical and nutrient as MRE in liquid, that would be more than enough to keep the soldier healthy and going in the middle of the battlefield, let alone for Colin who likely fed via a feeding tube so the taste of MRE wouldn't be problematic but ut seen it only keep him alive and little healthy and also his faint isn't because he hungry, that was showing pale virus is slowly creeping upon him
