Beautiful, I lived on the Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe, at 7400ft of altitude. One time we had 7 feet within 3-4 days, my street looked just like that. It took almost one week for the plow to clear our street, only two homes on the street. I missed those days, Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful lakes in the US. The water there has a magical energy, summers and winters were great, but the times in between were even better, not too crowded, with lots of trails and lakes to visit.

Credit goes out to those road crews for even finding the roads.😅

That is how I remember the snow banks being in the late 70's. Haven't seen them since then. Stay safe out there.

I don’t know how they even plowed those roads. It’s all unbelievable.

Imagine the pioneers just 150-200 years ago.

I did this in late 1960’s, going out to Tahoe Keys where my dad had a place. The snow had been plowed to the sides but were definitely above my car!

Omg how do you plow that? I thought he was driving a snowmobile or something but an actual car in this snow I just can’t comprehend the height. Does not compute!

Did this in SW Virginia during the 1993 blizzard. We had 12 ft snow drifts. They had to use endloaders to move the snow.
