What I absolutely LOVE about Cuphead is how it pays tribute to the retro animations of the 1930s-40s. The Fleischer Bros. Walt Disney, Harman and Ising. This really was a nice nod to those old cartoons that paved the way for what we know and love today. :)

Hot take but this is one of the few games that's best experienced watching someone else play rather than playing it yourself. When playing you're too preoccupied with not dying to pay attention to the gorgeous boss animations and background details, however these are the biggest selling point of the game so you're better off watching and savoring it.

Intriguing game, old school vibe, through and through. The 'Big Band' theme music is on point. The art and graphics actually seem pretty engaging. 'Cup Boy' is more like a 'War Dady' in this one & is like theee' classic cartoon character, who never really existed, until now. Imagine the mid- 70's era having this geme in the arcade rooms way back when...
