Hi Paul I am 81 years old and am going to try my hand at watercolors after dabbling in acrylics for a few months I plan to watch many of your tutorials which are excellent and I have recently purchased your book on watercolor for beginners thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with us

Just saw this video. Howdy!Kathy from Texas. I love water colors and did a bunch up until a couple years ago. Then I got breast cancer. My whole world came to a screeching halt. I was too sick from chemo, radiation treatments and surgery to do anything. Fast forward to now. I'm cancer free and trying to get back into my painting and sketching. Motivation has been very difficult, but I watch your videos every single day and it's helped tremendously! I've finally picked up a brush again and I've sketched a few things in my sketch book. Feels so good to do this again. I'm very rusty but I'm getting the feel back slowly. Thank you so much for your inspiration and I love your humor. You have helped me tremendously. Oh and I just got your book the other day. It's wonderful. Thank you again and God bless.

Something I learned from being a lifetime crafter is that there are no mistakes. They are just happy accidents. Something we learn from and that's why I'll be practicing in my sketch book for a while and making use of your sketches to build up my confidence before I try sketching to paint. I'll be making use of photos to sketch from but I'm alot closer to getting there since I found your tutorials. Thanks a million

Paul, I'm so glad you keep re-emphasizing to not be afraid of failing. This is so true! I need to make sure I have a talk with myself and embraces the joy of painting and accept that part of learning is failing and that I'll learn something from it and I'll continue to improve as I, 'go for it'! 😄 I just want you to know how much I enjoy your tips and I think I'll have a go at them. And please don't lose your sense of humor! I so enjoy smiling and even laughing out loud especially the bloopers with the cauliflower! Your the best and thanks so much for teaching us how to watercolor and not give up and GIVE IT A GO!!!

Today was a bad day for serious reasons linked to...do you understand? So, to relax myself at the end of the day and "lift" my mood, 'cause I couldn't paint (no time), I decide to view a video of Paul Clark and this one doesn't let me down for the sympathy, the beautiful place I saw and the wise words I listened...NEVER GIVE UP! The power of art, of music...feeling good, enjoy yourself...WE CAN!

This is the best video...very small but effective and informative for beginners like me...
Your sense of humor is just unmatched...I laughed a lot with that cup of tea fumble and candle light paint scene...incredible...

You are a natural born teacher. I wish I lived nearby so I could take your class in person.

I have watched your videos and many by other watercolor artists. I keep coming back. Some of them even mentioned your videos and loved your style, humour and wit. What I love most is that you get through the topics quickly - even at high speed - but enough to cover the basics that I can try on my own. Watercolor painting is fast becoming a new and relaxing hobby along. with photography - I have tried woodworking, 3D printing and other more dangerous and expensive ventures- nearly losing a limb and a finger in one, but watercolor is safe, inexpensive by comparison and so much more enjoyable. Thank you for helping me find something I will always cherish.
