Quest Q40 Bad EMI at Park finds 14K Gold Ring!

Terrible EMI on Very first Park Hunt. Almost sent Detector Back but then the Miracle Happens!!! I will remember this for a Very Long Time!! I got a Merry Christmas Gift this year!!!

Great Find ! Rings of Gold ! I'm cancelling my Legend Pro Pack Pre-Order. I have the Nox 800... pimped out... coil ear beef up... and Carbon Fiber rod. So I don't need the Legend. I'm taking that $$ and adding MORE $$ and I'm gonna pre order the Deus 2. I know I know. I'm gonna have to find the Lost Duchman to pay for my machines.... that's just the way the cookie crumbles for me. You it's my Curse ! Good Video ! ROCK ON !

Nice find with that ring regardless of the chatty detector. I run my Apex wide open all the time. Usually a channel shift makes it quieter. In the worst case I have to switch to single freq. mode and that knocks it out. Otherwise the smaller coil you used might be bad. Merry Christmas, Joey and Keep Digging!

Thay say EMI dont hurt people.. hand them that metal detector for a week and check back with in the end joey comes through.. grate find man.. good luck with your new lighting rod in personal mode.... wish you the best man and good to see the good lord on your side... grate man..

Yeaaa Boyyy! Patience pays and anger strays. Nice find indeed. The fact that dropping it down to 2 tones makes sense and obviously created the sweet spot. I actually use a Gold Kruzer for coins and jewellery with a 9 by 5 GK24 coil using fast mode and never have trouble with EMI. I have had great success with it and is one of my faves. Congratulations Joey, thats a real nice ring. No feeling is better then finding gold (hope my wife doesn't read this).. It's a pitty the Q20 suffers so much from EMI. I didn't use my Q20 in EMI parks to know it suffers from it or not. It's just a back up detector.. But i can say that my Q30+ is better on EMI then the Q40, Q60 and Pro. The interface on the Q30 is also different then these detectors.

Funny how they try to max out the settings only to upset the consumer but we're smart enough to have a personal setting. That's what saved this detector.

I have the exact same detector, after playing with the settings it's been a great detector ! great battery life, wireless headphones are fine (you can use others) it's now my go to machine till i buy the ctx 3030

I heard that the aftermarket coils for the Quest line greatly improve on the EMI issues.

Hey dude, I have the x10 as my backup and I struggle with it as well. Same issues you had with the q40 plus it overloads if you look at it the wrong way. I have found some cool stuff with it though, just not my drink of choice.

In comparison to my Pioneer 101 that thing was quieter than it was. Now you can see why I gave up and that detector is about half as chatty as mine is PLUS that one is digital mine in the old analogue with a needle and round knobs. This is why I wanted a digital one that can eliminate the BS. My hope is Nokta come summer after watching you give a real world video on one because I trust ya, man, over the big channels who will say anything their "providers" tell them to say.
