Over in Hong Kong, in front of 9,710 spectators, Brazil made sure to complete their perfect run through the Preliminary Phase with 12 consecutive victories. The dessert was an emphatic 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-19) sweep of their encounter with defending VNL champions Türkiye. Opposite Rosamaria Montibeller led the way with 14 points, including two kill blocks. Middle blocker Ana Carolina Da Silva (Carol) impressed with three kill blocks and two aces to reach the double digits with an 11-point total. On the European champions’ side, opposite Melissa Vargas topped the chart with 13 points. The mighty Brazilians won the Preliminary Phase on 12-0 and 34, while last year’s winners finished sixth on 8-4 and 25.

Turkiye suffers just like what happen to brazil last year. Just like last year Carol and Macris didn't rest enough (i still blame ze for letting them play for week 1) results of flopping the whole VNL, Daroit is feeling something, Aninha was injured, Kisy has knee pain and Gabi is recovering from injury. Right now we see Ilkin recovering from injury, Zehra conditioning from her shoulder injury and Hande feeling her stomach ache. I hope all teams will be healthy before olympic comes!! Still congrats to both teams qualifying the quarterfinals. 👏👏

It is clear that Turkey lost some momentum in their game since the start of this summer but this was expected for so many reasons, but I believe in this team and know that they will get through this phase and hardships soon. Those Midle players from Brazil made amazing job👏👏👏I am roting for Turkey but Man they smashed them whith those blocks and atacks.Turkey Midlle players where not at that level not even close and that is big minus for such defeat 🤷Wish them luck and Brazil 👏👏👏

The fatigue for them is since the beginning of the competition as Turkey has been playing really bad. Just assume it, Turkey has no quality like Brazil didn’t have it last season.

China won against Poland playing really well, after the same 5 sets against Turkey the day before, to not mention Canada 🇨🇦 who has unfairly played in completely dis vantage with Holland for a not well planned schedule, and examples could go on and on and on.

I wonder what Volleyball world has against Brazil that they always undervalue our games.

Brazilians waited for this game long enough after the provocations from Karakurt on social media throughout the year, to not mention the ones that she does in court and her knob coach.

We played brilliantly.
