I’m surprised San never told his sons that they had so much family in Ba Sing Se (though maybe it wasn’t so big then), then again his wife never told her sons about her family from the Fire Nation. He should’ve thought of that as a safety net for Mako & Bolin if anything happened to him and his wife (which it did 😓)

Korras team avatar was just sexual angst. Like while it may not taken up a lot of time on screen it dominated everything the team did. They wanted a love triangle of will they won't they or who will get with who and never built actual definable personalities and motives with each character.

I mean, Sokka and Katara joined Aang for the same reason. But at the same time I definitely feel like a friendship dynamic was missing. Which probably was born out of the over emphasis on the romance. That’s not the writers’ fault though. They were fs being pressured by Nick to put more romance in the plot so that they could get more views and hence more money. This universe was already a big cash cow by the time Korra came out.

Guys, please stop trying.
I know no one likes their favorite stuff being critiqued, but pretending is perfect and trying to justify every single mistake, is just counterproductive.

It shows that you aren't objective, so when you try to defend something, that can be defended, no one's gonna take you seriously.
