Vanessa Feltz hears from caller Alev who is 'enraged' that she feels the need to 'stay indoors' because of her experience with racism in Romford.

It comes after 400 people have now been arrested after a weekend of far-right violence swept across the country, as Keir Starmer vowed to set up a “standing army” of specialist police officers.

The Prime Minister chaired an emergency Cobra meeting with senior ministers on Monday morning, meeting with police and prison chiefs to discuss the disorder.

The PM announced a "standing army" of specialist officers are now on hand to deal with the disorder.

There are many that dont have blonde hair & blue eyes, but that doesn't mean they are muslim.
I hear what the caller is saying, but there are many that aren't muslim who are terrified of going out, who are terrified to visit different areas & it's not due to the citizens of the uk protesting.

Since probably the 80s the Government has lacked any awareness that their role was to serve the British citizens. Bad management. Their are a lot of woman who are too scared to go out on their own and it has nothing to do with rioters. I've considered if it would be safe for me to walk home from the rail station after 10pm, which is just over half a mile.

Me and my daughter are great friends with a muslim family and they are also scared to go out atm. This isnt the first time either. Im white but have gypsy blood so dont look white in the summer. Im gonna don a headscarf and join our friends on a coffee stop and food shop. If anybody says anything they will feel my wrath.
