I like your preference for a neutral grip combined with proper rotation of the club face. Laying it off (opening the face) on the backswing helps to flatten the swing plane and encourages an inside to out swing path. Rotating the club face from open to closed through the hitting zone virtually guarantees solid contact and a nice draw. I’ve been playing for 50 years and am only now appreciating the importance of proper club face rotation, which is enabled by a correct grip. Thank you Christina, again!

Christina I just can't stop chunking my irons> I have your books and watch videos specifically on that subject and it continues

The grip needs to be neutral for each golfer, meaning, how our wrists naturally dangle when we stand without a club in our hand. My hands position naturally with 3 knuckles facing forward, so my "neutral" grip is quite strong yet it is "my" neutral. Once I learned this (2 weeks ago!) the club face immediately squared up at impact. Crazy stuff. My weak grip left the club face open, at impact due to my wrists and joints extending and aligning to their natural position during the swing (hello centrifugal force). Our joints align where they want to do so during the swing.

Good morning another great tip I always draw the ball the last couple months it seems like I lost that I’m wondering if it’s because of my grip

I really prefer the neutral lead hand grip, at least that's what I'll be working on the most. Thank you!!!!

Q- Good Tips. Have a ? Though. Should one consider gripping the club as your hands hang straight down from your arms? Otherwise is there not some manipulation required to square up the face?

As you had a sweater on, I could not see the orientation of your lead arm elbow. Hogan taught to have both elbows pointed to the body (elbow flex points out). Other instructors teach, both arms hang naturally from shoulder at address. This way, when club swings out at address - club face and arm return to position (for you I think ball mark on glove does too). Any comments on your preferred arm or elbow orientation at address? What you said about grip strength and shaft lean made sense to me. My issue is arm and elbow orientation.

Are there anatomical models that dictate optimal grip, player to player?
