Sometimes it felt like I was never going to make it to this point, but here it is: the end of my dissertation-writing journey!
Here’s an inside look at what this past week has looked like, and the process of my final push to get my dissertation ready to distribute to my committee. My emotions have been all over the place during the past month of work – stress, fear, excitement, uncertainty, pride – but what I feel most this past week is just a sense of accomplishment. I’ve put so much work into this dissertation, and sending it out to my examiners finally makes that feel real!
The PhD journey itself isn’t quite at an end yet, and I will likely still have to make some edits to my dissertation after the defense. But for right now I’m just enjoying this milestone, and feeling really grateful for everyone who has supported me to this point, both in my personal life and in this little online community.
