FILM DESCRIPTION:
When a vicious storm breaks out in the Nevada desert, 10 people seek refuge in an isolated motel. At the same time, a serial killer (Pruitt Taylor Vince) under the care of psychiatrist Doctor Mallick (Alfred Molina) -- who has just found the killer's revealing journal -- awaits execution for murdering a group of motel guests. When the storm-stranded travelers realize they are being killed off one by one, limo driver Ed Dakota (John Cusack) bids to stay alive and reveal the murderer's identity.

Watching ths movie when I was like 9 and sharing the same Birthday as the characters May 10th along with the twist ending meant this movie left a mark on my brain and I'll never forget it.

When I watched this movie I got so scared I was gonna die cause I have the same birthday as them

They don't state it very well in the movie, but the convict, Jake Busey's character, there's a point where when they're looking for him Rhodes calls out "Maine!" and Jake Busey is credited in the movie as "Maine", another state name. It's clever because it's not right up in your face, because they were originally trying to give you the idea that Maine was the guy who was having the emergency hearing before his execution.
