Butterick 7690 dress and caplet pattern from1956

I'm still learning to sew, so take it easy on me. I'm also learning to grade, and for every mistake I make, I learn from them. The bust area is still too big, I think it happens in the arm hole area. But it is wearable, around the garden, so I'm happy with it. The caplet make me think that if you can make this in a cool summer fabric, it would keep the sun off of your shoulders in a hot summer day, with a sundress or tank top under it.
