For you guys giving me a good 2020 year, here is 2020 tier list that did last night while I was sick. Ill be taking a little break so I can rest the sickness off but enjoy it anyways lol.

S-Best horror games
A-Fantastic horror games
B-Good average horror games
C-Alright horror games (needs some work)
D-Bad horror games

I played cult of the cryptids and that is a hell of a scary game mostly because of the update and there is the huge spider and I'm terrified of spiders I literally threw of my headphones and started panicking.

I only play specter, noctis, and paranormica.

I’ll leave the tiers I put in the end so you don’t have to read the entire thing lol

Paranormica has a lot of bugs but it’s surprisingly pretty enjoyable. I’m personally not a fan of the models but I can slide passed that. My real problem is that’s it’s kind of pay to win. I got the 20x gamepass and almost immediately found an easy way to farm cash, I got to level 387 after 2-3 hours playing and I’d already learned and completed everything.
It also isn’t as scary in my opinion. The majority of the time if a ghost is in a room you can just keep the door closed and it can’t escape so you just gather quick evidence from there. My biggest issue is the pay to win so I’d put it in C tier.

Noctis is VERY buggy. What bothers me is the font they use for everything. It doesn’t fit with the meshes/models in my opinion. The ghosts aren’t scary, I have gotten a few scares tho. I had one pop up at the end of the hallway and it’s red eyes were just staring lol.
The lighting is uh, very bad, the ghosts spawn on top of you, the only good thing I can really say about this game is that they have the most similar creation to Phasmophobia that I’ve seen yet. But that’s not really a compliment since it lacks creativity. I’m putting this in D tier since there’s no F tier up there.

Specter is a new one that everyone from paranormica is freaking out about lol. They’ve already surpassed in the usual player count and it’s actually pretty decent. But to get all of the negative stuff out of the way, the ghosts aren’t scary and always spawn on top of you if you’re in the ghost room. It will jumpscare you and you don’t have enough time to react so it just instantly kills you.
Another problem is that there’s a lot of visual glitches. The first two rounds I played and got correct I didn’t get any money and it didn’t tell me whether or not I was correct. You could argue that maybe I got it wrong, but I had a friend playing with me and it showed up on her screen just fine. By the third round it eventually showed and I got my money but I think my point still stands.
Now, the good stuff. This is the first Phasmophobia remake I’ve ever seen that actually has customization. You can choose different styles of vans, different characters, etc. They also have multiple developers actively working on the game. You could report a bug on their discord and have it fixed almost instantly if they’re online.
And my favorite feature, THEY HAVE A RANKING SYSTEM AND LEADERBOARDS. If you don’t want to do all the work with level 1 players, they have an option where you can make lobby’s where only players level 5 and up can join. I’m giving it a very strong A tier.

This is just my opinion and I don’t care whether you like the games or not. Just play one that best suits you :)
