Kumamoto, Japan… A truly unique place to visit.

If you are interested in going somewhere different in Japan, Kumamoto might just be the place. If you are a lover of history, at the center of this city you will find a place that will blow your mind away. It is located on the southern region of Japan, in the island of Kyushu, a little out of the way from the areas most often visited by international tourists. And that might just be the best reason to add it to your plans when you travel to Japan, because it is a more original Japanese experience.

I visited Kumamoto last year and I love it. Beautiful city and less crowded than Tokyo. And I absolutely love Sakura -No-Baba Josaien and Kumamoto Castle.

Nice video 👌🏽 I think 1st time tourist to Japan should definitely not miss out on the craziness of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka but since next time will be my 4th trip to Japan I will be visiting Kumamoto for sure 😎

I’ve been living in Kumamoto city for 30 years. The 2016 quakes hit us hard, I’m saying quakes because there were 2 of them. When the first one hit, we were all surprised, so we cleaned up the next day. But 24 hours after that, we got hit again, and that one finished the job of the first one.
