Interesting fretting hand technique. (Thumb over) Haven’t seen that in a long long time. Ran into a guy from NC back in 1980 that played the guitar this way. He was left hand but played right handed guitar.

found this song on a compilation vinyl and figured it was done with barre chords the old fashioned way. he must have tuned his guitar special so he could mash it with his thumb... its always the path of least resistance with these old country legends... way more tricky on their instruments than you would expect
