I think some jealousy is good, this means that the women is still in love with her husband and will make efforts. Also with the child situation. When kids are around a bigger family- I think they tend to be more well rounded individuals. The wives can help each others out. BUT the man has to be honorable to both his wives. When he approaches the second wife- he must approach her father.

It’s not healthy competition. Women mate guard through sexual and emotional jealousy. They do not convert it into something positive. Jealous women can become treacherous women. They’re not like men who compete to better themselves.
