Apple WWDC 2023 Explained in two minutes! (Vision Pro, iOS 17 & more!)

WWDC23 was today- let's quickly summarize the announcements with new Macs, iOS 17, MacOS & more- plus, the all new mixed-reality headset, Vision Pro.

New MacBook Air, Mac Studio, Mac Pro, iOS 17, iPadOS, MacOS Somona, WatchOS 10, TVOS, HomePod, Siri, AirPods, and of course- the Vision Pro and VisionOS. What wasn't announced today? Big event!

I wish Standby was a feature that was backfilled to older iOS (like there was any chance in hell of that happening anyway). I would love to use an outdated iPad/iPhone on an old iOS as a dedicated home hub.

Apple Vision Pro is likely the future of personal computing devices. Sure, it calls you broke in 3499 different ways, but that's the case with all new technologies, and similar to what the iPhone did: consolidate a phone (calls, SMS, etc) with an iPod (music, videos, etc) and an Internet browser, I see Vision Pro as the first step towards a device that replaces the iPhone and Mac, plus many other devices in key areas.
Vision Pro is too large to be used comfortably for long periods of time, it doesn't feature a SIM card meaning no phone calls unfortunately, and the external battery pack's runtime is too short for proper extended use, not unless Vision Pro has a USB-C port allowing you to use high-capacity third-party powerbanks that would provide many more hours of runtime.
However this issues will be resolved. Apple Vision headsets will become more compact and more capable, there will be batteries built-in, and more efficient and powerful processors, plus the ability to make phone calls will make this a proper iPhone replacement. Of course this probably will not happen for maybe +5 or even 10 years, but it will happen

Vision looks like the future and promising - eventually vr/ar/xr will be common and basically glasses- but its still a little limited right now and it s too expensive for me. But its to be expected by apple… maybe ill get the Vision4 SE when they make cheap
