8 Gb of soldered Ram. Why oh why? It's 2024.

Does the (dual channel) Ram mean you can put in a second S0-Simm module of 16-24Gb or 32+ Gb size into the one slot and all is good with the soldered 8Gb in parallel? Or is the real limit 2x8Gb here? Different shops give their own varying product specs or when buying Ram modules in after sales.

I once read from the technical side that each channel bank (Dimm) module nowadays offers 2x32bit access, especially with DDR5?!
The worst case with an Amd Cpu probably is if you had to run the whole Ram setup in a single channel or dual async mode? True "Dual channel synchronized" is probably want we *need* for some elementary gaming with the 760M/780M iGpu for better speed.

So, is it 2x dual = quatro channel or something?
Else an S0-Dimm setup of a different size for the two modules wouldn't be any possible.
2x8Gb might be too less for some gaming as the Windows 11 OS almost used 4Gb of Ram on a different Acer Aspire 3 laptop (which had a dedicated Nvidia Mx230 card installed with 2Gb of Vram).
Sadly to say, there are not many laptops available without any soldered Ram module(s) where you can freely install two modules and replace them any time.
