How to tie a Guide's Pheasant Tail Nymph Variant

In this video I show you how to tie a Guide's Pheasant Tail Nymph variant. A fly fishing guide friend of mine showed me this pattern years ago and he used to catch lots of trout on this pattern as part of a double nymph rig. We still use it to this day. It is highly effective on trout in New Zealand's north island.

Materials:
Hook: Size 14 Kumho barbed nymph
Thread: 8/0 black uni
Body, tail and wing case: Pheasant Tail
Rib and thorax: Medium copper wire
