This is a budget priced 4-in-1 tool. It is a mini hatchet, hammer, pry bar, and nail-puller. It is a usable tool but you have to fix up the grip and sharpen the edge.

That's one of the best parts of this channel. You do a review of a low quality tool and you don't run it down the whole video like other tubers. A fair and honest review everytime. What might be junk to one person could be all someone else has. First class channel all the way.

I've seen these for years but never picked one up, my blade snobbery had me thinking that the metal would bevel cheap that it wouldn't take an edge, but alas, my Sensei has shown me the light ;D would make a fine addition to the just in case box in my truck. Thanks for sharing. I think I can dig up enough change in the couch to buy this one!

I always thought that this style of tool was used for opening wooden crates. Great review!

I have carried one of these on my pack for camping going on 40 years now. They are a great little tool to have around. The only thing that I wish I had is a sheath to cover the edges of the pry tongs and hatchet blade...

I think with a little polishing and sharpening and a better grip that it would be a nice backup or tool for a little light building such as hammering nails or tent stakes, pruning and chopping small diameter limbs for firewood or to build a shelter or anything one might want in a camp. Inexpensive and useful is hard to resist.

I love these "fixer-upper" tools that you have to play with/customize before ready for use good use. I bought one of these little babies yesterday at a hardware shop in the downtown historic part of Quito, for only $4!!! Today, I wrapped some electrical tape for grip (I know it's not the best for this, but you must work with what you have) and will get it sharpened next week for $1. All in all, $5 will be the total spent for a very useful, lightweight tool (and weapon if need be).

This used to be called a roofers hatchet. I've had my Anco Co. hatchet for 30+ years and it is a great little tool.

I have this. Mine had a rubber sleeve for a grip that can easily be pulled off. After sharpening it's great. I did snap it in half using the nail pull in the center. I plan on buying another just not using center nail pull.

Good man! It is a great little tool, even just as a hammer around the house it pays for itself.

My main concern is it's strength as a pry bar. In an emergency situation I need something I can trust. I need to know that this thing won't break if used too pry something..

Lee valley has therefore about $12, with a decent wood handle, sold as a box tool. These things were designed for opening, closing, and breaking down shipping crates.
