I was in the tower on that day...honestly, that was such an emotional moment...i talked to so many players and none of us said to their friends "let's go there"...we went silently and met each other there...i always salute my Commander when I'm in the tower...you are loved Lance, rest in peace.

I was one of the many Guardians that stood beside Zavala when I heard that Lance had passed. He was more than just a voice actor for the game, he interacted with the community and played the game right alongside us. He was part of the community just like the rest of us. The audio played in this video "One ####ing Guardian..." was actually of Lance reading a meme that had been going around as a joke that "Zavala should have said this" and this beautiful man actually went and voiced that meme. I saw one person put on his loadout and continued playing game from the last mission in Lightfall that Lance played before he passed, "completing" it for him. That one really stuck with me. Ended up meeting someone and becoming friends with them when we met by Zavala because we all got to chatting and reminiscing about how profoundly deep this death was affecting all of us. Guardians lined up by Zavala for the rest of the week, and even now I still see people standing beside Zavala. Just yesterday before the servers went down for the Final Shape launch, I was sitting with a large group of people by Zavala again just chatting with people. No one said anything either time about gathering around Zavala, people just came over when they heard the news of his death, and we still sit by him because we miss him deeply. He really wasn't just a voice actor, he was one of us. I normally wouldn't say "friend" about someone who does work for a piece of media I consume, but he is one of the few people out there I would say that. It truly felt like losing a close friend. Rest in peace Lance. Later today, I'm vaping the Witness in your memory.

Lance was able to inspire us all to be more than just a guardian but to always be out to spread the love and support of others and in his films that he did he’s always made sure that everyone had joy and fun in projects and I personally will miss him because he really made me feel like I can achieve and accomplish anything I wanted to. I instantly went to the Tower as soon as I heard the news about his death, it almost made me cry to see the whole Tower sitting around Zavala. Been playing Destiny since late 2015, so hearing about his passing after hearing his voice and seeing his character for ~8 years straight was definitely sad. Eyes up, Commander.

I’ll always proudly know him as the voice of Sylens from Horizon : Zero Dawn and its sequel Forbidden West. To think I hated Sylens until I understood his craziness from Zero Dawn. Guy was awesome

Reminds me of the day Black Panther Actor Chadwick Boseman passed and also Fast & Furious Actor Paul Walker it's hard to believe these amazing actors were taken from us so quickly at such a young age - it both shocks and saddens us and makes us realize to appreciate every day as a gift

I was there. Sat by his feet for about an hour. At least 20 people were there doing the same.
It was kind of surreal. Lance Riddick wasn't just a voice actor for Destiny, he was a hardcore player.
Had no idea he was 60. Guy was in great shape, never take life for granted, tomorrow isn't promised.
