Idina Menzel invites fans to join her in singing the Rent song "Take Me Or Leave Me" live in concert at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California on July 21, 2024. Take Me Or Leave Me was written by Jonathan Larson and first performed on Broadway by Idina Menzel (Maureen Johnson) and Fredi Walker (Joanne Jefferson) in 1996. Idina Menzel is a Tony Award winning singer and actress from Syosset, New York. This was the second night of her Take Me Or Leave Me Tour. Joining her onstage were Clifford Carter (piano), Akil Thompson (guitar), Sean Hurley (bass), and Rich Mercurio (drums).

Idina Menzel official bio:

Menzel is a Tony-Award winning, powerhouse multi-hyphenate: a singer, an actress in film and TV, a songwriter, a Broadway star, and a philanthropist. She rose to fame for her role as Maureen in the popular Broadway musical Rent, and her career took off when she won a Tony Award for her role as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, in the smash musical Wicked.

Her voice can be heard as Elsa in Disney’s Oscar winning Frozen, the second highest grossing animated film of all time, with more than $1.2 billion in worldwide box office revenue.
