I love that the customers can’t even see the clown being hurt. Just the knowledge that he is in excruciating pain is enough to bring them unimaginable joy 😂

To clarify, this is not a human wearing a clown outfit, this is a *Genuine Clown* they are injuring. The fact that they even figured out a way to contain it is impressive.

The visual gag of showing the machinery every time the button is pressed is actually hilarious
That and the identical wail of pain

My favorite part is that we immediately find out that hurting the clown is purely recreational and not a necessity 😂

I love the guy’s slow, proud smile at the end. As if he’s coming to the end of a satisfying arc, or that something has been explained or resolved in ANY way.

The way he says, "Oh, that *_hurts_* the clown, " as if it's the most descriptive answer ever kills me hahaha

I used to work at Wendy's. Smaller clown room, but the part about the frosty machine was pretty accurate.

The fact that it is seemingly required for the clown to be hurt so that the people can be happy, so his line near the end there gives the impression that the clown is aware of this and is willing to sacrifice himself for their happiness, which makes him unimaginably noble.

Or he just wants to die idk.

He could have easily said "no, I won't hurt this clown" but the way everyone is treating the situation as normal really pressured him into pushing the button. I wonder if I would do the same.

Imagine making it all the way to adulthood and not knowing what a clown room is

I love how everything Lyle puts out is another Oneyplays hypothetical.

Honestly I like that the clown is willing to sacrifice his health and safety just to bring joy to people. I wish to be as noble as him one day

Always brings me joy to know the Clown Industry is alive and well.

It's such a small detail, but I love how the guy teaching the new hire has a more muted red pattern, since his uniform would be older

As someone who's worked fast food for a couple years I gotta say you never really get used to hurting the clown

today i was in the dead-silent pharmacy, with around 5-6 people waiting quietly for their life-saving medications...my phone received a text and the sound of the clown being hurt exploded into the air like only the sound of a clown being hurt can; startling every single patron and staff member and ending my decades-long existence instantly.

thank you, Wrath Club, for finally doing what god has failed for years to do himself.

Lyle accidently rewriting The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas 50 years after it was published IS NOT something I can reconcile as a coincidence, there truly is some sort of supernatural clown/Ursula Le Guin based order to our reality that is using Lyle as its acolyte

"Tape the button down." I was scared of this initially. I thought he said "take" at first, but after watching the ending, I finally understand what he meant.

We need to hurt the clown.

Update: Okay, to those who think that the clown wants to die or is a masochist, let me ask you guys this: do you hate using your imagination?

But yeah, I see what you guys mean. A+ for simplism.

The level of abstract lyle brings with his content is just *chef's kiss

The clown is truly dedicated to his craft, if we are to believe the manager that he truly doesn't enjoy getting electrocuted, then he must know that his suffering is bringing the masses entertainment and that desire to bring others happiness out weighs his own suffering, enough so that he would want the button taped down, bringing him endless torment while also providing others with ceaseless joy
