We survived an EARTHQUAKE in Bangkok Thailand

On Friday 28th March 2025, there was a 7.7 magnitude earthquake with an epicentre in Myanmar. This quake was felt in Bangkok Thailand, with at least 21 deaths in the capital city.

This is our story from the day of the earthquake, when we were in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok as it hit.

Watching this one month later and always wondered how i felt downstairs. I was sitting on my bed in the top floor of ny condo and the movement of the place was massive. I held onto my bed and waited for it to stop. Evacuation went smoothly even with that amount of adrenaline pumping. I put my phone in flight mode hoping not to occupy any emergency connections but when i found out that the network didn’t collapse, i opened facebook to learn that was an earthquake. Lot of people slept in the lobby downstairs to be ready for aftershocks. For some reason i was pretty calm and went upstairs as soon as the lifts were declared safe to use
