I'm Leaving Chapman Guitars

Hey guys,

So this is something I’ve deliberated for a long, long time, but I figured as we approach the end of 2022, it’s an opportunity for change with the new year, and so it’s time to do what I feel I need to do for myself and move on from Chapman Guitars as a signature artist.

It’s been an amazing 10 years, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the love and support I’ve received from Rob, Lee and everyone at Chapman Guitars over the time I’ve been with them.

They gave me a signature model guitar when I was literally just starting out, and it was such a nice, cool and kind gesture, opportunity and platform for me to grow as an artist, and as a product designer.

It was Something Rob and Lee really didn’t need to do, and I assume was potentially a risk at the time! But they wanted to because they’re friends and wanted to help me grow, and that is something I’ll be eternally grateful for.

Rob, Lee and myself have been good friends for a long time, and I’m grateful for all the good times we’ve had together at Chapman. Just to be crystal clear it’s all good for those wondering! We are still friends and there are no bad vibes between us at all. Just love and support!

There are still some of my guitar models left and available from various retails and online, but after they’re gone, they’re gone. I have mine and I’ll play them from time to time, because they’re something I’m immensely proud of and it’s a truly great memory and achievement I’ll hold onto forever ❤️

So with that, it’s time to say goodbye.

Thank you Rob, Lee and Chapman Guitars

I just wanna say thank you for the immense amount of support here. It’s genuinely heart warming to read these comments and I’m so grateful. Honestly that’s immense.. so thank you.

Just to answer a couple questions.

There is nothing going on I haven’t mentioned. I just really felt it’s time to change things up. The main thing I felt was to move on from chapman and see what happens.

It really is that simple. Nothing has had to go wrong for me to leave. It’s purely a curiosity for myself and the idea of the unknown is appealing to me at this stage in my career.

This is something Rob totally understood and quite honestly encouraged me to do. Offering me to be able to return should I ever choose to.

So hopefully that clears it up a bit.

Either way, I love you all and thank you for the immense support as always

❤❤

Almost two years later, and you have a signature Music Man guitar. It's really amazing the journey you're going through <3

A few decades ago, I was your age, Bea. Part of the journey as a human being, a musician and an artist is trying different things; this is an important part of how we develop. Sometimes those crossroads are really hard; I kind of get the impression that this is one of those for you. With your personal friendship with Rob and Lee, it’s probably way more difficult than it would be if it were “just professional”; but moments like these really show who your genuine friends are. Sounds like both Rob and Lee are supporting you and this part of your journey. Friends like that are priceless.

Bea, completely makes sense. Following you, Lee, and Chappers for over 8 years, what an amazing journey. Seeing your growth has been both inspiring and motivating in my own musical career and work. Seeing all that you've done with Neural, UA, Frogleap, clothing lines, and what I experience as creating your own community in your own way. Makes perfect sense. Good luck! Excited to see what unfolds over the next year for you and your future endeavors, partnerships, and seeing you follow your dreams!

Don't ever apologize for doing what feels right in your career. Appreciate what they did for you and what you did for them and enjoy your life :)

We love you and Hannah and support everything you do.
My only question is…. Why is your studio almost empty? Are you moving house?
What did I miss? Best of luck in everything you decide! Be well, Brother!

You were with Chapman for so many years. It’s honestly inspiring to see people moving on and doing their own thing. Change is scary but from experience, it opens so many doors and feels refreshing.

So glad to have met and spent time with you this year Bea, and I'm certain through being a Chapman Artist you've inspired a great deal of guitarists (many of whom I know!) to pursue music in some form or another. I definitely know the 'moving on for myself' feeling and it's tough but sometimes those decisions have to be made. All the best for 2023, hope to catch you again soon!

The last year/18 months has really had the feel that your career is on the cusp of moving onto another level, and sometimes when you face those moments it's not about leaving things behind, but making room to be able to make the most of what's to come. All the best with the next phase my man.

Man, that montage at the end really made me nostalgic for Dorje and Toska. Amazing stuff.

I am a 61 year old novice player and I can honestly say that you have inspired me to keep learning. Some of the videos of you and Pete jamming are just incredibly good music. I wish you good luck in whatever path you decide to take.

Everytime I listen to Dorje or Toska my heart breaks again, especially Dorje. It was such an important band to me together with Toska's first EP. Thank you Bea and good luck with the next step!!!

Bless you. After what Rob did to that YouTube creator a couple years back I've avoided watching anything Andertons, or any Youtube channel produced if Rob was involved. Bless you for moving on. Best of luck. You're a class act, and you look absolutely fantastic.

I can tell this was a hard message to record. We all start somewhere, and it's never the same place where we end up. You are quite loved and respected - 350k of us agree with me, I'm sure ;) Best wishes to you for 2023

I got back into guitar after pausing for 8 years (work/life) my first video I randomly watched was Anderton’s with Rob and Lee, then came Rabea…. You guys are fundamentally moving the industry into the right direction with appreciation for the craft. Name on the jersey doesn’t matter as long as you guys keep the mission moving forward. Get people excited and obsessed with music again (beginner, professional, garage, world stage)

Sincere thank you to these guys and others grinding on these channels day in and day out and getting me back into recording music. keep it up!

To be honest mate I've thought you've out grown Rob Chappers a long time ago. You've kept yourself honest and behond reproach. I'm suprised you've stayed connected to the Chapman brand for so long. You've been a very loyal friend and a great ambassador.

Nothing wrong with you being nervous making this video! Just means that you truly care about your relationship with Chapman guitars. You have inspired myself and so many others, keep up the amazing work!

Your work with dorje is still to this day some of my favorite music ever written. Perfect blend of grace and melody with darkness and grit. Oh what i would do for another album…

You have my deepest respect for putting yourself out there like this, and the guys from Chapman guitars have my deepest respect for giving you a safety net. It says a lot about you that one of your biggest struggles is with loyalty and about them that they're being so loyal to you. Basically, these are the kind of lifetime friendships that matter the most. Good luck, man. You deserve all the good fortune and love you get.
