people gotta realize that he was the only DT with 10 or more sacks. He also led the league in tackles for loss and had a little more than 1 QB hit a game. Again, he did this as a DT, and this was after he won back-back defensive players of the year, so he was getting a lot of attention too. Plus the Rams were fourth in sacks this year without an elite defensive line, biggest reason: Aaron Donald. He deserves this spot.

Never thought I'd see a better interior DL than Warren Sapp. Absolutely insane to see an interior pass rusher w/10+ sacks continuously. He's set the bar so HIGH--that some actually think that 12 sacks was a down yr. Dawg, many edge rushers never hit 10-12 sacks season. Short, Compact, fast & STRONG af. The man is a Monster!
