Gotta love when they let them pick the loudest setup first. There is a 50% chance they will come back for a quieter pair of mufflers. But to be honest I like the bottle resonators better.

Ryan popped a load when he heard that truck with open headers fire up! 😂😂😂😂

Hey guys! Another fantastic job by the folks over at Exhaust Addicts/Discount Muffler and Custom Exhaust! Always love working with Junior and the guys at the shop to get my cars singing their tunes. 👍

I wanted to post a bit on this setup, as anyone new to the N54 platform needs to know this IMO... 2.4K - 3K on the rev-band with any car equipped with this engine, no matter the transmission attached, causes drone with a muffler/res delete. This is going to be cruising revs for most street and highway (not interstate) driving. The 1792's (Vibrant Bottle Resonators) I had done before were great for tuning any top end "rasp" into a sweet sound, but the drone was unbearable in the cabin, despite all of the insulation. The problem being that drone is a low-hertz tone, and with such a small amount of material and physical space with the bottle rezzes, that wasn't really being handled.

Junior recommended the Vibrant Ultra Quiet series to me after hearing my drone complaint and I couldn't be happier! The drone was still "there", but it had gone from a 9-10 down to a 2 on my personal "tolerance scale". I don't mind a bit of drone, as I want my cars to "sing" after all! But I'm so glad I went back and got hooked up with these new resonator/mufflers.

Since this video's filming, I may or may not have deleted my secondary cats and WOW... What's resulted between the cat delete and the Vibrant Ultra Quiet setup is a sweet, aggressive, "race-inspired" song. 😁 The drone has all but been eliminated (still present, sure, but definitely a "1" on that "scale" now), the higher end frequencies sing out a bit more, the overall volume has increased, and the Vibrants at the end of the runs keep everything "in check". I have the 7 Speed Wet DCT and every shift whether up or down results in a flurry of burbles on downshifts and a "THUUM" on upshifts. Perfection in my book.

I plan to install catless downpipes sometime in the future but for now, I'm very happy and recommend this setup for any other N54-equipped Z4 owner out there! ✊

I like the ultra quiet perfect sound for a 4 banger or 6 cylinder cars

I'm glad you did the before clip here because it almost seems like he went back to stock aside from some more pronounced bass tone on the ultra quiets (I can relate to wanting a specific tone and not compromising but still very similar). The vibrant bottles did not seem very loud at all but i'm guessing the 6 drones more and the convertible contributes.

You cant read the plate without hearing Clarkson.

Sounds good, but don't excatly know which of these two sounded best because they almost sounds the same even though it's two different exhaust setup's

This is one of your very best videos because it shows how the car sounded louder inside with the smaller Vibrant 1792s, but just about the same (to our ears, if not the decibel meter) outside with either the Vibrant 1792s or the Vibrant 1141s.

A lot of people want street presence, but they don't want it inside the car with them. They want it for the passersby, but if you pick the right resonator you can get a racier feel with a racier exhaust note or you can keep it quieter inside and still keep the racy exhaust note outside.

I still think he should put a real muffler on the car on top of either of those resonators, though....

I have an F30 n55 with Pure750, AWE catless downpipe & AWE non-resonated midpipe & AWE Touring Axleback. It is so loud I cannot stand hitting WOT anymore it's ridiculously loud (and thankfully powerful). What's your opinion and do you have any experience for lowering the overall volume with the Vibrant bottles vs. the ultra quiet in the stock midpipe resonator location? Thanks in advance!

This is good resonator when you want to mod your headers to minimize the noise of the headers

BMWs and Vibrant Ultra Quiets are a match made in heaven

Oh hell No! This is still way too quiet, and sounds no different than a stock 2017 Honda S2000, and that's a damn shame 🤨 Owner should have just ran an open manifold, which is hands down the best setup and provides perfect back pressure and reduced wind noise and interior rattles on these BMW Z4 3.0L's.

I have a vibrant ultra quiet on my 2000 maxima. It sounds good with my intake and warpspeed y pipe. It's not loud, but you can hear it. The sound of them will change a bit once they get used a bit.

New 2022 Mach1 HP owner here. Im thinking about my Active Exhaust options to comply with racetracks that have noise restrictions. One of the options Im considering is replacing the stock resonator with two Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator bottles. Other option is keeping stock resonator and trying to fit regular Vibrant resonators behind it. Last option is an H-pipe combined with ultraquiet vibrants. Although I love the stock sound, I want to avoid getting kicked out of HPDE events when I use the Mach1 at W.O.T. Ive read that some M1 HP owners just pulled the AE fuse while the engine is running in AE quiet or normal mode, before pitting out on the track. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it needs an aftermarket downpipe

Not a bad way to blow 500$ should have left well enough alone and just stayed stock

What was the point of this in the end? It still sounds stock.

Are resonators any different than straight through mufflers?
