Can't wait to see the rest of the process. Great informative tip on how to safely weld galvanized metal, including which filter to buy.

The old timers always told me to drink a big glass of milk after welding galvanized metal our even cutting on it. Great series by the way.

I found out about zinc in the early seventy's I was cutting out some floor boards that some body had slapped in on an Austin Healey 3000, I saw a green color as I cut the metal and I breathed some of the smoke in, Later that night I felt like I had the flu it lasted several days,
Wearing a proper mask or respirator is money well spent.
I enjoyed watching your videos, Thanks for posting

Just a good thing to know if you ever get that headache from welding galvanize or cutting. Can tell from the green smoke. Anyhow drink a big glass of milk and it will go away. Still best is work up wind and avoid the headache. Potato poultice if you get flash burn for eyes.

Great video and great safety tips! Nice to see you runnin' some 7018's. I just tried some 1/8" Excalibur rods recently, and man are they nice! I found they could handle a few more amps than most 7018's, I'm guessing because of the flux. Anyways, the project is looking good. Keep the videos comin' !

Next time consider drilling and bolting the foot on. The foot should short enough to allow the concrete to completely surround it.
