This was an excellent video on both your set-up and how you are using the DIY Fish inserts. I really appreciate your straightforward, practical approach to planning.

Thank you so much for making your videos!! You have awesome ideas and I've already adopted one and I love it!! I took my weekly chart, shrank it so I can punch both sides and move it throughout the week without opening my rings. Brilliant! Now I have all my weekly tasks in front of me and the ones I don't write on my dailies don't get skipped or pushed forward so much. I've been reading your blog since I got into Filofax and found it invaluable! I'm a SAHM with a disabled husband and sometimes his care can be quite extensive with appointments and meds and such, so a lot of your planning techniques have worked really well for me because i too suffer from ADD/ADHD and my planner helps me stay focused. So again, thank you and please keep making the diyfish insert videos!! Have an awesome day!! ツ ツ

Fantastic! I love the progressive update. it's nice to see how you plan things, and really pick out what works and what doesn't.

Another video Patty; thanks for letting us see how these inserts really do work. I love them and your ideas. I started using them the end of last year and every time I get the itch to go to something else I can't. I go back very time. As you said they work.

A couple possible solutions for your ring size issues in the personal size binders:
1) Look for a Filofax Portland Grand or Cavendish on eBay. They both have 30mm rings (vs. the regular 23mm rings)
2) Consider getting a medium Gillio with 26mm rings, or a Van Der Spek binder with 30mm rings
I know all those options require spending more money, but perhaps it would be worth it if you could have bigger rings AND stay in personal size?
You can also do custom orders with Van Der Spek, as you probably know, to get just the features you need (wider binder, 2 pen loops, etc.)

Hi Patty. I loved the video. I have been vacillating between ordering DYIFish or not because I am a DO1P person. (I have a Daytimer.) I am not much on journaling (wish I were). I'm more a "just the facts" kind of person. My creative writing tends to take other avenues. I am, however, going to steel your idea about tracking when to pay the bills. We use the same system at work and I've been wondering how best to do it. Love the green washing too.

Monnique, I couldn't reply to your comment for some reason so I'm responding here.  Thanks for sharing your situation and I'm so glad I could help a little.

I can't imagine how tough it would be to care for a disabled husband.  I'm sure you rely on your planner a LOT.  That medical stuff can get time consuming and complicated.  Throw in some ADD and oh boy!

Agree the daily pages are not anything desirable.
