To anybody wondering about buying this little guy you definitely should! One of the best flying airplanes I've ever flown! Don't be scared of the edf or the size. It flies so incredibly well. I often find myself flying the entire pack inverted doing super low passes at full throttle. Very fun!

I've always wanted a Habu and when the umx arrived I was sorely tempted. I'm now so eager to get one I'll work a day off just for one! Great vid as always guys, super cool. Looks like the Habu took a lot of abuse before finally breaking (just like my umx stryker which may or may not fly again).

Love my Habu. Trashed the nose on the first one (forgot I got the keychain cam on it) doing too many loops, sold it for 3/4 of the original price and bought a new one right away. I recommend covering the leading edges and the bottom with clear packing tape if you belly-land on grass. More twitchy but also faster than the Mig15.

There's another EDF micro made by E-Flite, it's the UMX MIG-15 DF, don't have it but I think it has similar flying characteristics. It comes in BNF but, it comes with a battery and charger. A review would be nice, just to see your opinions, but I know you guys do have other priorities. I love what you do and it inspires me to try to continue with this hobby.

Pretty cool little plane, specially for an EDF. The nice thing about smaller planes is that when they do crash, there isn't as much momentum or kinetic energy in them to bring to a sudden stop, as with bigger planes.
Hope the repairs go ok and it gets to fly again.

I'd have liked to see an outdoor test as well... have it really opened up and ripping, ya know?  Looks like a cool little jet though.

Ha, awesome review. Re Alex being hit (ouch!), I (also an Alex!) was flying my superb E-Flite P51D 1.2m on a gusty day up on the West Sussex downs (why are hills called downs?), and just milliseconds after take off, the wind direction changed direction and she was blown left right towards where I was standing, I moved but was clipped hard by the wing and she disintegrated upon impact with me and the groud. Rebuilt her the next day and she flies like a boss, if not better. I was unhurt, but if the prop had hit me face on, could have been serious. Oh, and all this caught on video, so will share once it's on YT, looks pretty terrifying.
Anyway, was about to buy the UMX Mig then heard about the Habu so may get one instead if it's still a thing, be great to have in the car to fly when on trips and I don't have space for larger models. Anyone still rate it in 2019?
