This was probably my favorite time period involving Vegeta. When he was still a wildcard, and he didn't quite fit in with the rest of the fighters yet. He had no stakes other than a powerful threat showed up and he wanted to flex his prowess(and protect Goku so no one kills him before they can run it back). He would be absent and then show up out of nowhere as he saw fit. Also Goku was always so happy to see him lol. After Namek Goku took a strange liking to Vegeta, when the latter didn't warm up to him until the Buu saga.

In the old DBZ movies, Vegeta and Piccolo always have flashy entrances but got beaten quite quickly and Goku will have the spotlight again. Glad that wasn't the case nowadays.

One of my actual Favorite Z movies. The characters are great and it has some of the best lines in any of the set. "That boy is plum Loco if he's thinking about catching that with his bare hands"
