The Beatles: Rain (Drum Cover)

The B-Side to Paperback Writer released in 1966. As most know, this is Ringo Starr favorite drum recorded performance on a Beatles track. It is an excellent track but I find it to be a rather underrated song in The Beatles catalog.

Nice drumming! I agree it's an underrated Beatles song. I think of Rain and Paperback writer as part of Revolver. Kinda like Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane were really the beginning of Sgt. Pepper. All released as singles right before the album releases. Anyways, nice feel and drum sound.

An interesting thing to note is Ringo played this drum track on a faster speed, along with some of the guitars. Once that recording was done it was slowed down then Paul added the bass, and the rest of the song was history.
