These young adults are lacking coping mechanisms for anger and rejection. There are so many of these stories right now... We must be asking ourselves what is going wrong here? My children are in their 20s as well so I am also taking accountability.

Their crimes are horrific and they should absolutely face the repercussions, I also don't think the eleven years was nearly enough.

I would never make excuses for their heinous behaviors but I ask myself how can I keep my family safe? The answer seems to be directly linked to those who can't deal with rejection or anger or even delayed gratification. Sadly this is the world we need to prepare them for, so they need to know better ways to cope.

This is the worst thing that can happen to someone as it will ruin their life and their will to live. This has happened so many times already. So vicious. Why 11 years only? This is the UK- that's your answer. They give short sentences while the victim will suffer for the rest of her life.
There should be a very long sentence for these kind of things as it happens often.
