Hasbro just casually drops a stunning new Hammershot with a solid FPS, gives it a cool name, but puts it in the 2.0 line?! Gah - I hope it's mod-able without having to break plastic - The shell has a great sci-fi aesthetic.

I honestly feel like the trailblazer might be one of the fan favourite blasters because of the practicality of an 8 shot maybe holdsterable hammer blaster and it’s striking good looks

One of the weirder things about Elite 2.0 is they keep giving us rails on the bottom of blasters but we haven't had anything to put on them. No foregrips, no tactical lights, no dart holders. I get that we've already got a bunch of options from previous blaster lines but Elite 2.0 was initially marketed as a Modulus successor.
Trailblazer looks great, Prospect is a pass when there are better 4-shot pistol options, and the Tetrad commits the inexcusable sin of being a primary or secondary style blaster with the capacity of a sidearm.

Something Coop didn't mention about the Trailblazer: when you manually rotate the cylinder to load it moves two barrels at a time. IDK of that makes it easier to load but I like it.

Thing about the Trailblazer is that I actually can't one hand prime it without adjusting my grip. The ergonomics of it are much further apart than the Hammershot. Hopefully someone makes a longer hammer for it so I can, because I really like the design with 8 shots.

The Trailblazer is definitively my favorite Nerf Blaster ever produced. I have never genuinely enjoyed a Foam Flinger the way I do the Trailblazer.

NOT a fan of the cylinder being completely internal; but the power, the action, it's just fantastic. Also, the mechanism is almost entirely self-contained within the chassis, making disassembly for customization & painting seamless for an inexperienced person (like me).

Size wise, looks like the propects and tetrad are really aimed toward very young nerfer. Trailblazer is a nice upgrade, 8 shots in a compact form factor is nice.

Trailblazer is now on my list for modding, provided that I could remove the cover. Otherwise, great addition to my daughter's Hammershot which I painted it purple years ago. Very futuristic look, but 8 shots just sold me there.

I am so glad I got two of the trailblazer. It doesn’t suck like most of elite 2.0, it’s a hammer action which is good because I missed out on the hammershot, and it’s really good.

I have no expectations for nerf 2.0, but it's good to see a hammer action sidearm, even more when it's not a reskin and has a dart capacity of 8(!)

Nice to see that some of the old 1.0 blue is coming back
Never really liked the metallic cyan

I got a kick out of Coop pulling in the Quadrot instead of simply comparing the two blasters he's actively reviewing. Which are both Quadrots. Also, Persuader is best.

I actually have a trailblazer myself, and even though he was saying there is no slam fire there actually is, if you hold down the trigger and put the palm of your hand where your pinky is on the hammer pulling all the way down and then sliding your hand back towards your wrist. All you would need to do is just get better and get a little faster at it.

Thing is, it’s definitely longer than the Hammershot, but the shape is such that I *can* make a belt holster for it that doesn’t look or wear too unwieldy.

For the trailblazer, cut the long barrel and the peg connecting the cylinder up front, upgrade the spring(If you can cuz it's elite 2.0) And you have a somewhat better hammershot

finally, an upgraded capacity hammershot, what ive been waiting for

For just watching this review, the trailblazer is now one of my favorite nerf 2.0 will buy the trailblazer when I have money

All three of these seem like they're so close to being top tier basic elementary blasters of the decade but just slightly miss the mark. The Trailblazer's the closest, but I never like having huge chunks of functionless plastic up at the front, especially since it gets in the way of loading. The Prospect would be totally fine if it was essentially just a Quadrot re-shell with the scope being removable! And the Tetrad would've been a functional 'basically the same thing, but pump action instead of rear handle.

I continue to think that Alpha Strike shouldn't exist and they should focus on making Elite 2.0 as efficient, simple, and refined as possible. Use your economy of scale, people! You're the biggest company on the market, you should be able to make fantastic stuff at lower price points than the competition who's having to keep reinventing the wheel!

Hasbro stock down 10.03% this year, mostly due to the scathing honesty of Frank's reviews.

something coop may not have notice (or my trailblazer is just weird) is that it can actually slamfire in a sense. you really just have to hold down the trigger, pull the hammer down, and then lower your finger off the hammer so that it springs back up.
