KSP - Landing a Booster with MechJeb (how to?)

Hi its's me makoty again, and today I'm gonna teach you how to autoland a rocket in KSP using MechJeb.

How do you get it to slow down enough? It crashes from going like 400m/s for me

Question, if i detach the booster and tell it to autoland, then immediately switch back to the second stage and leave the atmosphere ( where id have no communication or control with the booster, nor can i switch to it or see it on the map ) will it still autoland?

i don´t know why but the landing guidance isn´t showing up for me
