Meet the Glover Dairy Farm Family from Georgia

“I grew up on a dairy farm and dairying has always been a part of my life,” said Scott Glover, “It’s certainly a passion of mine.” Scott’s wife, Jennifer, on the other hand, grew up with a more traditional 9-5 lifestyle Monday through Friday. “It’s a different mentality in the farming life from a ‘regular’ life,” said Jennifer, who is an assistant principal at a nearby school, “Scott never takes off on the weekends because he is milking and feeding the cows.” While adjusting to an around-the-clock lifestyle is not always easy, the Glovers wouldn’t have it any other way. The Glovers own Glo-Crest Dairy in Cleveland, Ga., where they milk between 55 and 60 cows. With that size farm, Scott is able to be deeply involved in every aspect of the farm, where animal care and wellbeing is a top priority. The Glovers have recently opened Mountain Fresh Creamery just a few miles from the farm. The most popular product at the creamery is whole milk, followed by ice cream.
