Laser Cut Foil | Laserable Foil | Trotec Foil Rolls

This week, we're launching our new Trotec Foil Rolls, which are a laser friendly foil that you can stick and cut on any practically any hard flat surface.

Laser Foil Roll is a permanent bond PVC free foil that allows decals
and stencils to come to life by adding colour and flare to your projects. This foil offers a permanent bond, is excellent for decorative applications and is an excellent border tape.

In honour of the launch, we wanted to celebrate Movember with fun laser cut grooming applications like a mustache comb, pomade jars, and a grooming kit box.

***MATERIAL SETTINGS***
The foil works with a kiss cut method which is a very light and quick cut. For this project we've used 15 power, 2 speed on a Speedy 360 80w laser.

Does not seem to stick very well on wood, we can see letters coming off of the wooden box.

Do you have any in ferrous material? I want to make custom magnet shapes using a thin foil.

If only you could use this for electronic circuit PCB boards. Maybe if you used conductive glue instead of solder. Tape layers would allow for multi layer circuits. If the foil was multi layers deep, higher current could be utilized. If you made an antenna array out of nickel foil, you could make a passive radar chaff reflectors.

The end results of this method do not have a very precise edge finish in the video compared to die cut or plotter machine cut transfers
