I bought the ct3401 based on this review. It's a really well made tripod, just a bit short at 50 inches (I am 5'10"). I added a levelling based to it which added a couple inches of height. Makes a nice travel tripod.

Owned this tripod for some years light to carry and can be used in any direction I choose theCB-50 head for extra weight capability

when Jim said the max height is 4.72 inches, he misspoke; its 4.72 feet = 56.64 inches = 143.87 cm. the smaller one is 4.2 feet = 50.4 in = 128 cm
