Bass' Favorite Fig is a fairly vigorous tree with for us with large leaves and lots of fruit. Fruits ripen from mid-season until late in the year and are large to very large in size. Fruits have a moderate to intense berry flavor, moderately sweet, and with a jammy texture.

I think I just accidentally stumbled into my fig obsession. I have a couple Celeste, one Olympian, one Brown Turkey, and a couple from cuttings that I don't know the name of. The man died, and his son gave me the cuttings, but he didn't know what kind they were. They have black fruit. I'm growing most of them in pots, because I don't have anywhere to plant them. And yet, I find myself wishing I had a Chicago Hardy or some other variety that I don't need.
