Ori's Bash is THE single greatest powerup and I want more!

in the original ori and the blind forest my favorite way to deal with enemies would be to bash them to the ground and stomp on them then repeat

Celeste is fine and all but ORI is by far the best playformers on Switch by a mile. These games are incredible. The soundtrack, story, visuals, mechanics, the difficulty is not too hard and not too easy… I genuinely have 0 complaints about Blind Forest or Will of the Wisps. I adore these games. I lost my love of platformers and Ori and Spiritfarer made me love them again. The story behind them just kept me coming back in and made platforming fun for me again. I got into these games later than everyone else but wow they’re just honestly breathtaking.

The single greatest W of Ori and the Blind forest is that it gives you Bash and then immediately asks you to use it by escaping the ginso tree, which is fucking hilarious

I remember on my first play through I accidentally sequence broke to an item thinking it was the correct path through with bash. It's genuinely such a versatile ability and it's such a smart item like tell me a game which has a more innovative idea. We all love dashes and triple jumps but ori really manages to master movement in new ways that interest the player instead of sticking to more traditional and established power ups that would lead to a stale experience that doesn't stick out gameplay wise. Ori is and always will be in my top 3 games of all time.

I remember when Will of the Wisps wasn't out yet but the first promo trailers/teasers came out and all people asked was "but will we get bash again?!" Absolute masterpiece of a move.

Ori is the first metrovania game I played after hollow knight. I think bash single-handed it sets Ori apart from other popular titles in the genre. I start watching speed runs and the movement mastery is just so incredible. It almost reminds of Sonic where moving through the stage is fast as possible involves being able to use your obstacles as boosts and bash is exactly that
