Always blows my mind to think we went from a country who has never won a gold on home soil to winning the most gold medals at a Winter Olympics.

It's now 2022. I was there on the streets of Vancouver when we beat the US. THRILLING. The whole 2010 Vancouver Olympics were a never to be forgotten treasure! Like others have said, still brings chills and tears to the eyes. Those were the days!!

Never been prouder to be Canadian.  I was lucky to go to some of the events and random outbreaks of O'Canada on the skytrain and in downtown were magic moments.  I believe we really set the bar for host countries going forward.

Came back here to reflect on 2021 now.

Canada winning 7 gold medals & 24 total medals at Tokyo 2020.

Canadian Men leading CONCACAf qualifying defeating Mexico in “Ice-techa”

My father talks about those lean years. Where Canada was just happy to be there. How times have changed

I wonder if Kleenex’s sales went up in Canada at that time from all of the tears of joy we shed.

Alex B's win was the most beautiful. His brothers smile brought happy tears to me.

Even better is the fact that we did this all on our own home soil!

Still awesome and it still is to this very day! I'm from Vancouver and I had the time of my life watching majority of these events on TV mentioned after school. I was 12 years old when this happened so it was a huge deal and once in a lifetime event for sure!

I was born in canada lived there for 3 years until my father's job took us all the way to north carolina. I've lived here now for 18 years going back HOME to Canada twice a year. I'm now a dual citizen but when I'm asked what my nationality is with out hesitation I say I'm Canadian and so proud of that fact.

I'm not Canadian, I'm from Italy. Last month I went to Nice to watch Ice Skating Words Finals. For the first time I had the joy to see live Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir skating and winning their second Gold Medal. It was a true emotion: they are two fantastic skaters but first of all they have some kind of magic that nobody can teach you and nobody can learn. You can have it or not. They have.
