I have the same model but mine arrived very badly tarnished, I've had this same issue with recent NG models that have polished metal. I have a feeling that whoever put the model together did not take the steps to prevent contamination but hopefully I can find a replacement that is in better condition

Do the landing gears come off the airplane to make it look like in flight mode

They stopped also because newer airliners are made out of composites.

Not being the "Sharpest tool in the Shed" I always struggle to find the right words (glad you don't have that problem, F'man ; ). But I'm just generally fascinated at how our male brains specifically, find things either attractive or appealing. So skipping the blatantly obvious - the 3 things I always think of are CAR SHAPES / MAG WHEELS (as I personally have always disliked the mat black styles on black cars) / and even Airplanes - as I think nearly all the 747's just look so sleek & sexy for reasons that to this day, I cannot explain.

Nice but too small to appreciate details 1: 200 is good. 1 36 is even better.
