Very tempted to buy this camera solely to be a 4K tripod-mounted video camera for my studio. 70mbps seems to be enough bitrate, and the Sony-based sensor guarantees half-decent image quality; hopefully there is no recording time limit. I'd love to see even higher bit rates though.

The lenses this kit includes are a great choice, 42.5mm f/1.8!!, although I'd likely try to sell them or not use them much -- In-lens image stabilization is neat, but if the camera can't auto focus well, what's the point? Perhaps that can be addressed in firmware, but doesn't matter for my needs either way.. I use a tripod and manual lenses. I'd be fascinated to see how well my Voigtlander 17mm f/.95 looks at 4K actually... My current Olympus doesn't do 4K, and the other 4K MFT options are fairly expensive still.

Is the sensor cropped when in video mode? I hope it doesn't crop the sensor, but I'd imagine it would.

Either way, this is exciting stuff. Looking forward to more in-depth reviews. If the camera proves a capable system for video, I'll buy it, and maybe throw my Olympus fish-eye body-cap lens on it when going out with friends -- no focus needed, very compact, and smartphone-friendly. Awesome.

How do you record 4K raw, via HDMI out?
On the spec sheet, the format for 4K recording is H264, nothing said about raw.
