HOW TO USE A PROTRACTOR TO MEASURE ANGLES!

On this tutorial, you will learn how to use a compass protractor to measure angles.

Join us on this flipped math lesson for CCLS 4.MD.C.6 where we work through a problem that was inspired by a released common core exam item where we practice measuring angles in whole-number degrees of angles using a protractor.

This lesson answers the question: How do I identify a given angle? How do I find the measure of an angle using a protractor? How do I use a protractor? What is the difference between an acute and obtuse angle? How do I sketch angles of specified measure?

Our lessons are perfect for flipped classroom math teachers and students and for warm-up and exit ticket activities . This lesson is aligned with the 4th grade common core math learning standards for math and the SAT math curriculum as well.

Thank you so much for these videos! I subscribed because you really spell things out on the confusing things. I'm in fourth grade and I do cyber school. When I'm confused on a lesson in math and I don't have the time or my teacher doesn't have the time to explain it to me, I watch these videos.

Good, except, just had this question today - would be great to explain why you selected 60 degrees when the line goes through both 60 and 120 readings. Thanks!
