Akamas Live Optimizations - Application-aware optimization delivers higher cost efficiency
Показать описание
Akamas provides a single platform to optimize applications both in pre-production environment, for example to anticipate planned changes, cloud migration or chaos engineering scenarios, and directly live in production while applications are running under a dynamically varying workload.
In this short video, we show Akamas application-aware optimization at work.
We show how we use Akamas Live Optimizations to optimize a key microservices in an e-commerce application, focusing on the “Cart” microservice, which is a Java-based application running on Kubernetes.
The optimization goal is to reduce the cost, represented by an aggregate metric based on the container CPU and Memory limits. There are two constraints representing the SLOs defined on the response time and error rate. In addition to Kubernetes CPU and memory limit, the optimization scope includes JVM max heap, Garbage Collection type and active process count as tunable parameters.
You'll see how Akamas's ability to optimize both the Kubernetes and application runtime layer delivers higher levels of cost efficiency!
